The new flat wiper technology introduced on the new Audi A3 is an attractively styled, weight-saving design that also offers a series of other advantages. The number of parts is smaller than used on conventional wiper systems. Wind noise is reduced by the lower installed height, and the lower weight and reduced airflow resistance enable a less powerful motor to be used. Wiping efficiency is improved by applying blade pressure uniformly to the glass.
