High-performance engines

The high-performance diesel engine delivers powerful torque with efficient fuel consumption. The TDI engine has a common rail system with piezo injectors. They are capable of injecting the diesel fuel into the combustion chamber at pressures of up to 1,800 bar. As a result of this, the engines have plenty of torque in the lower engine speed range – and yet they are highly fuel-efficient.

Overwhelmingly powerful

Impressive. Monumental. Overwhelming. The power of the Audi A6 allroad quattro® comes from the advanced engine technology - fuel is collected and injected at pressure into the cylinders, where it is converted extremely efficiently into energy. This power is transferred to the road by quattro® permanent all-wheel drive. The fuel efficiency and CO2 figures have been significantly improved bringing the engine below 200 g/km. The improved engine available is the 3.0 TDI®.

Performance has been further improved. The A6 allroad quattro effortless sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 7.4 seconds, an improvement of 0.4 seconds. Power has increased to 176 kW (+5kW) and torque to 500 Nm (+50 Nm) available over a wide engine speed. The A6 allroad quattro® highlights how Audi continues to lead the way in developing low consumption, low emission technology with improved engine performance.

Fuel consumption data:
Audi A6 allroad 3.0 TDI®: combined fuel consumption 7.5/100 km.
