Audi Sponsors Diplomatic end of year function

Dec 1, 2009
On December 1st the lobby of the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra was transformed into a reception for the Diplomatic Corps in Australia. The hosts for the evening were the Dean of the Corps, the Ambassador for Mexico, Mrs. Martha Ortiz de Rosas and Audi Australia’s Managing Director Mr. Joerg Hofmann. Over 180 diplomats and guests attended the evening event in the national capital.
Audi has had continued success within the Diplomatic Corps with increased sales in the last three years and continued support at Diplomatic events.

Interestingly, the National Portrait Gallery celebrated it’s first birthday at the event, this stunning building was designed by Audi’s master architects Johnson Pilton Walker, who were responsible for Audi’s extraordinary Lighthouse Terminal in Sydney.

Of great interest on the night was the A5 Sportback, and after the official speeches DVD screens began showing the new generation A8 which had just been unveiled hours earlier at Design Miami in the USA.

Entertainment for the night was Audi Ambassador, Kate Ceberano, with her two piece supporting band playing a fantastic set of jazz and soul putting everyone in a smooth mood for the Christmas season.
