Reduces charging time.

Not leisure time.

A multitude of intelligent solutions make entry into electric motoring with the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron as easy as child’s play. Such an example is the charging equipment, which is fully compatible with household or industrial sockets.

MMI® Navigation plus with e-tron content

The MMI® navigation plus offers deep insights into the interaction of the various components of the e-tron and presents the energy flows in the hybrid system. An intelligent charging plan simplifies the use of the full electric potential of an Audi A3 Sportback e-tron: the possibilities for programming and monitoring the charging process offer a high degree of convenience. Thus, for example, the desired departure time can be set before the next trip and the charging process will automatically start at the optimal time. At the time of departure the vehicle will be charged and can also be air-conditioned in advance if desired.

Audi e-tron charging system

Each Audi e-tron is fitted with the Audi e-tron charging system as standard. With this system, the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron can be recharged easily and quickly – at home and on the road. With the standard industrial connecting plug the charging time is approximately 2 h 30 min^ and with a domestic power socket the A3 Sportback e-tron recharges in approximately 5 hours*. The design of the charger is typical of Audi - high quality and progressive - and is thus handy and easy to use. The Audi e-tron charging system includes an operating panel with graphic display and sensor keys, a vehicle cable with charger, a mains cable with industrial plug and a power cable with household plug.

Audi e-tron charging dock

For convenient operation at home the Audi e-tron charging system can be attached to the charging dock. The dock doesn’t just have an impressive high-quality design: it can be used outdoors as well as in the garage, and has a shut-off function that protects it from unauthorised use and theft. The charging lead is in a convenient storage space within the dock – so it is always where you need it.

Audi Australia strongly recommends that e-tron owners charge their vehicle using a standardised industrial wall socket. Using a domestic socket is only acceptable where a licenced electrician has certified the suitability and safety of existing electrical infrastructure.
